Do you write full-time now, or do you have another job, too?
I do my best to write full-time, but I don't earn enough money from book sales to make a full income, so I do other things - related to writing - to make up what I need. I visit readers at schools and libraries (where I read from my work and talk about the writing process), I run writing workshops for children and adults, speak at conferences. work as an editor, and sometimes as a Writer in Residence.
I've been a Writer in Residence for the East York, Toronto, Kitchener and Vaughan Public Libraries, as well as the Writer In Electronic Residence program which links me via computer to student and professional writers all across Canada.
