I've discovered, in the past fifteen years or so, that I enjoy very much speaking to aspiring writers, teachers, librarians, and parents about books -- reading them and writing them. Give me a theme and I'm happy to run with it!

In addition to the speaking fee, conference organizers should be prepared to cover the cost of travel, accommodation, and conference registration. It is sometimes possible to share these costs with schools who may be interested in booking visits while I'm "in town".
